GINGIVAL RETRACTION AND HAEMOSTATIC SYSTEM

Expasyl™ is especially formulated for all cases of sulcular deflection and/or haemostasis including:
- prior to impression taking with or without tooth preparation
- prior to prosthetic seating
- restoring class II and V cavities
- arresting heavy surgical bleeding eg second stage implant surgery
- apicoectomy

COMPOSITION:
Aluminium chloride (=15%) , Kaolin, Excipients

PROPERTIES:
Expasyl™ paste ensures temporary gingival retraction, haemostasis and a dry sulcus. The main characteristics of Expasyl™ are as follows:
- Gentle, non-invasive protocol: unlike other techniques which can damage the epithelial attachment, Expasyl™ is especially formulated to exert 10 grams of pressure on the marginal gingival. Sufficient to obtain access to the preparation yet gentle enough to respect soft tissue, removing the risk of gingival recession and/or future bone resorption.
- Easy to use & time saving: Expasyl™ allows retraction & haemostasis to occur simultaneously in most cases. Total application time from application to removal in less than 3 minutes. Being water soluble, Expasyl™ is simply removed with the air/water spray leaving a dry, retracted sulcus.
- Haemostatic & astringent: unbeatable haemostasis, even in cases of heavy surgical bleeding due to Expasyl’s unique chemical & mechanical properties. Kaolin and Aluminium chloride work to leave a site free of any crevicular fluid and/or blood.
- Painless & reversible: Expasyl™ is so gentle that no anaesthesia is required for endodontically treated teeth. At end of session the gingival space returns to normal.
- Each carpule contains material for 5 - 8 applications
